Princeton NJ Real Estate - Living In Princeton

Little known pleasures of Princeton

What are the reasons people choose to live in or around Princeton? Often its a question asked by people who are relocating to New Jersey and would like to know more, about what its like to live in the greater Princeton area.

There are many reasons, like excellent school system, safety, convenient commute. But for me its also a feeling. I love to travel, and the excitement of "feeling" the place. I also noticed that I enjoy travel much more, when I am traveling with someone. I did not know why, but I realize now, its because of the satisfaction of sharing my joy, or sadness or whatever the feeling that a particular place evokes. Taking a walk on a quiet Sunday morning in Princeton, made me want to share it with you, just like on my travels.

Its very quiet here on Sundays.

The square in front of the library is peaceful with the morning light on the flower planters. Usually there are moms with strollers sipping coffee or eating lunch outside; there are kids hanging out there after the school, and 30-somethings spilling out of the Witherspoon Grill for after work drinks and dinners. Can you see how quiet it is this Sunday morning?

There is no one to be seen in the front courtyard on campus, just the black squirrels. During the day it a totally different picture.

The Small World Coffee is always busy. What surprised me on this Sunday morning, the strollers in the front and several families with young babies have their breakfeast.

Do you think this is Paris, one of my favorite cities in the world? No, its Princeton. You can tell from the sign in English, but not from the ambiance. The quality of bread and croissants there is as good, if not better then in many Paris bakeries.

What Sunday morning is complete without dreaming. This is the shop where you can enjoy dreaming: gorgeous jewelry, impeccable service, high prices. Actually, dreaming and looking are totally free.

I hoped you enjoyed my Sunday morning tour of Princeton. Can you see why I am excited to live here? Please come back as we travel more in Princeton.
